Welcome back to the second edition of our three-part series on storing sentimental items with style and simplicity. Last week, we dove into the world of turning books into memory capsules, and today, we're delving into another minimalist masterpiece:
The Pretty Box!
Now, you might be thinking, "What's so special about a box?" Well, dear friends, let me share the magic with you.
It's not just a storage container; it's a work of art. It beckons you to explore the treasures inside, sparking conversations and evoking memories with loved ones.
As an example, my husband and I collected rocks and shells during our honeymoon in Nova Scotia back in 2016. [Any other nerdy beachcombers out there?] A few weeks later, while exploring a quaint antique store, I stumbled upon a glass box that immediately caught my eye. I immediately knew how I wanted to use it. Now, those cherished rocks from our honeymoon are displayed proudly in that glass box in our living room, bringing that cherished memory into our daily lives.
Sure, we could've tossed those rocks into some dusty cardboard box in the closet, but where's the fun in that? Storing them in a pretty box we adore not only preserves our memories but also adds an elegant touch to our living space.
No pressure to display it, though. Maybe you have a beautiful box that's in your closet, just for you. I have one of those, too.
So, what about you? Do you have a special box where you keep your sentimental treasures? Snap a pic and share it with us; we'd love to see your creative storage solutions! Or perhaps you prefer another unique container - we'd love to hear about it.
Next week, we'll unveil the grand finale of our series, where I'll spill the beans on my absolute favorite way to store sentimental items.
In the meantime, check out Morgan's incredible ebook here for just $5. She's the guru of sentimental item storage, offering valuable advice on what to keep and what to bid farewell to. Trust me on this one.
Stay minimal, stay mindful, and remember, sometimes, it's not just a box; it's a treasure chest of memories.
